Chinese New Year Series
It is a culture and tradition, especially in Malaysia and Singapore to have cookies, pastries or snacks in celebration of Chinese New Year. The cookies, pastries and snacks are usually served as a welcoming treat to visiting guest or are given away as Chinese New Year gifts for their auspicious symbolisation.
Meng Choon’s hefty menu of Chinese New Year cookies and pastries has a number of sweet, spicy, savoury, crispy, crunchy, buttery and nutty palate to satisfy every taste-bud. Pineapple Tarts, Almond Crisps, Nyonya Kapet, Chicken Floss Roll, Kuih Bangkit are some of the many favourites on the list.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri Series
The Hari Raya celebration will never go without cookies and sweet pastries known as Kuih Raya. It is a tradition to have these sweet treats served by the host during an open house or have them as gifts for family and friends. The Kuih Raya is considered an important element in harmonising the bond among family, relatives and friends.
The variety of Meng Choon’s Kuih Raya is quite extensive. Pineapple Roll, Peanut Roll, Potato Cookies, Black Forest, Dahlia Cookies are part of the popular cookie and pastry chart.
Mid-Autumn Series
Mooncakes are one of the distinctive traditions of Mid-Autumn Festival. Sharing of mooncakes among family during the festival signifies reunion, unity and completeness. Mooncake gifting is also common among family and friends, which symbolises prosperity and good harvest.
Creativity on flavours are part of the anticipated surprise during Mid-Autumn. But the more traditional flavours like lotus, red bean and salted egg yolk are still the staple that make up the long list of Meng Choon’s mooncakes. Also top the chart during the celebration are Teochew La Piah and Lako, the traditional Chao-san Mooncakes that in recent years, has adapted to the modern lifestyle and caught up with the hype of flavours.

Twisted Cookies or Kuih Pintal is our signature product and is also one of Malaysia’s famous snack – sweet, crispy and has a crunch to each bite. Everyone will fall in love with just the first bite.
